Under his guidance, ESC expanded from a single office to six locations, including a 135,000-square-foot Central Distribution Center in Woburn, MA, and a sales office in Manchester, NH. Larry’s strategic vision and commitment led to revenue growth from $34 million in 2014 to over $100 million in 2021, with projections of reaching $200 million by 2024. Larry also contributes to various organizations, serving as Trustee and Treasurer at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he initiated the JumpStart Endowed Scholarship. He is on the President’s Council at Beth Israel Lahey Health and the Boston Children’s Hospital Champions Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the New England Advisory Council at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Larry resides in the Boston area with his family.
John Murch’s journey with ESC began as a teenager in 1988, igniting his passion for the industry at just 15 years old. Following his high school graduation, he embarked on a new chapter, serving in the US Navy as an Aviation mechanic. Upon his honorable discharge, John returned to ESC, seamlessly blending his military discipline with his growing expertise. While balancing a full-time role at ESC, John pursued higher education, demonstrating his commitment to personal and professional growth. Recognizing his exceptional leadership and dedication, John rose through the ranks, first as Branch Manager in 1999, then as Director of Project Sales in 2011. His strategic vision and relentless drive led to further advancement, culminating in his promotion to Vice President of Projects in 2017.
In his current role, John oversees the pivotal Project and Inside Sales departments, spearheading initiatives and fostering innovation to ensure ESC’s continued success. With decades of experience and a steadfast commitment to excellence, John Murch epitomizes the spirit of ESC, embodying its “driven to help you compete” dedication to customer satisfaction.
Steve McCarthy’s remarkable career in the electrical industry began right after he graduated from Shawsheen Tech in Billerica, MA when he joined ESC as a truck driver, marking the start of a diverse and dynamic journey. His demonstrated talents so early in his career made Steve a sought-after commodity in the industry but he never forgot his roots, returning to ESC in 2011. Upon his return, Steve took on the role of Operations Manager, then advanced to Manager of Purchasing.
Today, he serves as Vice President of Operations, overseeing the vast CDC operations hub in Woburn, MA, leveraging his deep industry knowledge and extensive experience to drive the company’s exceptional service and delivery excellence.
Brian joined ESC in 2019, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the electrical distribution industry. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Brian’s professional journey began with his commission as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Over a distinguished twelve-year military career, he rose to the rank of Major. His leadership skills and strategic vision, homed in the Marines and applied in the executive leadership roles he has held in the industry, have been instrumental in driving success throughout his professional endeavors.
Brian’s commitment to outstanding results for both clients and internal divisions continue to make a significant impact at ESC, where he plays a vital role in the company’s achievements.
